About the role
Smith Debnam is seeking a full-time litigation associate for its Charleston, SC office. The associate assists in representing financial service providers and other business clients in matters related to foreclosure, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, real property and compliance.
Required profile
- Entry-level through 5 years' experience in private practice civil litigation
- Valid South Carolina bar license; dual North Carolina bar license a plus
- Ideal candidate has 2-4 years of litigation experience in federal, state and/or bankruptcy courts
- Preference for an in-office work environment
Required skills
- Strong legal analysis and writing skills
- Strong courtroom skills and experience
- Ability to delegate to staff and to work collaboratively
