Linux Systems Administrator - Quality Assurance

About the role

Leidos is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator for Quality Assurance to support Linux-based environments used for mission-critical testing, validation and operational readiness. Working within a multidisciplinary operations team, the role helps maintain stable, secure and repeatable Linux environments while covering system administration, troubleshooting, automation and day-to-day operations. The posting covers multiple opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, administer and maintain Linux operating systems and install and maintain OS software while protecting system integrity, reliability and availability.
• Configure and maintain network components supporting Linux environments and manage daily system configuration and operations.
• Provide implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance support for enterprise IT systems, including Tier 1 Help Desk incidents involving Linux systems and related hardware.
• Communicate issue status and operational updates to management and internal customers.
• Develop Bash shell scripts that improve system stability and deployment repeatability, and support OS enhancements that improve reliability and efficiency.
• Assist with capacity analysis, monitor Linux environments for stability improvements, and analyze escalated issues to give technical feedback.
• Support continuous improvement of Linux operational processes and contribute to operational readiness across enterprise Linux platforms.

Required profile

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph at the time of application.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or four additional years of relevant system administration experience in place of the degree.
• At least four years of experience supporting programs or contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Preferred: experience supporting Intelligence Community or other national security missions.

Pay range: $92,300 - $166,850.
