Job description
About the role
Loews Atlanta Hotel is looking for a service-focused, detail-oriented LINC (Loews Immediate Needs Coordinator) to support convention, meeting and group business. The role is the main link between group clients, Meetings & Events and the hotel's operating departments, anticipating and coordinating guest needs. It sits directly behind the Meetings & Events business, so weekly schedules follow group and event activity, with longer hours during peak convention seasons and shorter ones in slower periods.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for convention, meeting and group guests throughout their stay.
- Meet regularly with Catering and Event Managers to understand group needs, event flow, updates and client expectations.
- Maintain ongoing communication with meeting planners and clients to coordinate requests and answer questions.
- Communicate program changes and event updates to the relevant hotel departments.
- Review group resumes and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure requirements are understood and executed correctly.
- Walk meeting rooms and event setups before events to check accuracy and readiness.
- Maintain the BEO Bible, reader boards and other event documentation.
- Coordinate client package deliveries with the Business Center and Receiving Departments.
- Produce weekly reports and help with event-related administrative duties.
- Conduct routine walkthroughs of meeting and event spaces, reporting maintenance or operational concerns.
- Monitor group activities and event preparations, and attend required meetings and training.
Required profile
- One year of hospitality, events, conference services or hotel operations experience preferred.
- Strong guest service, communication, organizational and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of banquet operations and food and beverage service standards.
- Fluent English speaking, reading and writing; Microsoft Office and hotel operating systems preferred.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and able to stand and move around the hotel for long periods.
What we offer
- Health and wellness benefits, 401(k) with company match, paid sick days, vacation, holidays and bereavement leave.
- Tuition reimbursement, pet insurance and training and development opportunities.
- Team member hotel rates, uniform with complimentary dry cleaning, discounted garage parking and MARTA transit pass.
- Complimentary meals in the Team Member Cafeteria while working.
