Life Skills Support Professional 1

About the role

The Life Skills Support Professional works directly with adults with disabilities and developmental delays, helping them develop social, communication, and daily living skills. You will organize activity units, assist with personal care, and support community participation while following each member’s Individualized Service Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and structure activity units to promote social interaction and skill building.
• Provide personal care assistance and transport participants to community settings.
• Support members in achieving ISP goals related to daily living, communication, and self‑esteem.

Required profile

• High School diploma or Hi‑SET; at least one year of human services experience (associate’s degree preferred).
• Valid MA driver’s license with three years’ driving experience and a clean record.
• Ability to lift and transfer individuals up to 150 lb and travel within the region.

• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word.
