Licensed Therapist – Trauma, Grief & PTSD (Remote, California)

About the role

Open Mind Health is seeking fully licensed California therapists (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Psychologist) to provide trauma‑informed virtual psychotherapy to clients across the state. This 100% remote position offers flexible scheduling with a minimum of 20 recurring weekly hours.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver virtual psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, chronic stress, burnout, trauma, PTSD, grief, and related concerns.
• Assess client needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and employ evidence‑guided modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT‑informed interventions, and mindfulness‑based strategies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with the broader care team.
• Provide culturally responsive, client‑centered care tailored to each client’s background and goals.

Required profile

• Active, unrestricted California license as LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or licensed Psychologist (PsyD/PhD).
• Strong clinical assessment and psychotherapy skills with experience in trauma‑informed care.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and comfort using telehealth technology.
• Ability to maintain a minimum of 20 hours of recurring weekly availability.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CBT, ACT, DBT‑informed interventions, and mindfulness‑based strategies.
• Experience with trauma‑focused modalities such as EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma‑Focused CBT (TF‑CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), or other evidence‑based trauma treatments.
• Grief counseling and bereavement support techniques.
