About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care, including IV therapy, on an inpatient night shift in a post‑operative surgical unit. Working under the direction of a registered nurse, the LPN collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, personalized care.

Key responsibilities

Perform nursing processes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Administer IV therapy and other treatments as required.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure a positive patient experience.
Adapt to rapid changes in unit needs and support ancillary nursing staff.

Required profile

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

IV therapy competency (preferred).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
