Licensed Clinical Social Worker / Marriage and Family Therapist

About the role

The Colusa Indian Health Clinic is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to provide comprehensive counseling services to individuals, families, children, youth, and adults. Reporting to the Director of Clinic Operations and under the supervision of the Clinic Medical Director, the therapist will deliver assessments, diagnoses, and both individual and group therapy in alignment with the clinic’s mission and values.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in client intake, develop treatment plans, and conduct pre‑ and post‑assessments related to emotional health.
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling, crisis services, and mental‑health education to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with clinic staff on multidisciplinary reviews, referrals, and training in mental‑health best practices.
• Maintain accurate counseling notes, documentation, and comply with grant and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in clinical social work or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• At least one year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably acute outpatient mental‑health services.
• Current California LCSW or LMFT license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, strong organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer programs and software for documentation and reporting.
• Knowledge of mental‑health assessment tools and therapeutic techniques for individuals and groups.
