Legal Specialist – Corporate International

About the role

The Legal Specialist – Corporate International provides professional legal support to the Sr. Manager, International, Global Sourcing & Regulatory team. The role assists with transactional, regulatory, and corporate governance tasks across Canada, Mexico, and other jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research, analyze business problems and advise under counsel supervision.
• Draft business and legal communications, including contracts, regulatory filings, and cease‑desist letters.
• Maintain electronic and paper files, manage the international corporate entity database, and keep the organizational chart up to date.
• Gather documents for contract negotiations, litigation responses, and KYC or regulatory requests.
• Negotiate settlements of small claims, minor regulatory fines, and smaller contract amendments.
• Support international subsidiary management, board meeting coordination, minute drafting, and corporate resolutions.
• Assist with corporate structuring, tax/finance transactions, dividend declarations, and statutory filing reviews.

Required profile

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
