About the role

Protiviti, a global consulting firm, offers a Legal, Risk and Compliance internship in San Francisco for 2027. Key responsibilities

• Develop key deliverables such as process flows, work programs, reports and control summaries
• Review transactions to recommend process improvements and address legal, risk and compliance challenges
• Work within internal control and risk frameworks, and regulator and compliance methodologies
• Contribute to segments such as financial crime and anti-money laundering, risk management, credit services, regulatory compliance and consumer protection, analytics and legal consulting

Required profile

• Bachelor's, Master's or Juris Doctor degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. law, finance, economics, data analytics)
• Currently enrolled in a degree program and expected to graduate within 12 months after the internship
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship
• Experience solving problems with AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, GenAI)

Required skills

• Advanced verbal and written communication
• Critical thinking applied to client engagements across industries
• Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Use of technology tools to analyze large data sets
