Legal Counsel – Investment Funds

About the role

This position serves as a trusted legal advisor within Invesco’s U.S. Legal team, focusing on mutual funds, closed‑end funds and ETFs. You will partner with Product, Investments, Compliance, Finance and Distribution teams to deliver practical, business‑focused legal guidance on registration, disclosure and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on registered investment products and related regulatory issues.
• Oversee preparation, review and filing of fund registration statements, shareholder reports, proxy materials, board materials and SEC disclosures.
• Support fund launches, mergers, reorganizations, shelf offerings and other product line changes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with securities laws and corporate governance standards.
• Assist the Assistant General Counsel, Disclosure, and the broader U.S. Legal team on strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in securities law, particularly with mutual funds, ETFs or closed‑end funds.
• Strong knowledge of SEC filing requirements and corporate disclosure obligations.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and work cross‑functionally.
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
