Associate Attorney – General Liability Defense

About the role

Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its General Liability Defense Practice Group in its Houston office. The practice covers personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, product liability, trucking and transportation, professional liability and more. The position is full-time and hybrid, with the flexibility to balance remote work and in-office collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own case load with partner oversight and mentorship.
• Draft and argue motions, conduct depositions and handle discovery.
• Appear in court and take an active role in trials.
• Work with sophisticated clients on complex, high-stakes matters.

Required profile

• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience on the defense side.
• Experience handling depositions and other key litigation activities.
• Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and eagerness to grow.
