Legal Assistant Coordinator – Risk Management

About the role

The Legal Assistant Coordinator supports the Risk Management and Legal teams by ensuring strict compliance with court‑mandated deadlines, regulatory requirements, and corporate legal obligations. This operational role is essential for tracking litigation matters, managing subpoena responses, and coordinating regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Intake, docketing, and calendaring of lawsuits, pleadings, court deadlines, and trial dates.
• Maintain litigation calendars, case status reports, and a tickler system to monitor compliance.
• Coordinate assignments to outside counsel and track incoming legal matters.
• Oversee Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) quarterly settlement reporting and other regulatory filings.
• Manage subpoena intake, tracking, and response processes to avoid sanctions.
• Provide administrative support: data collection, report generation, document preparation, meeting coordination, and travel logistics.
• Serve as backup evidence‑preservation coordinator, working with security teams to secure CCTV footage and physical evidence.
