Bilingual Immigration Attorney – Vulnerable Populations

About the role

Catholic Charities Legal Services is seeking a full‑time bilingual attorney to provide high‑quality immigration representation to vulnerable low‑income populations in South Florida. The role involves direct client representation, community outreach, and collaboration with partner agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of clients with complex immigration matters.
• Prepare and file applications for asylum, employment authorization, fee waivers, temporary protected status, and other relief.
• Represent clients before USCIS, ICE, EOIR, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Travel to off‑site locations for intakes and outreach activities.
• Enter accurate case data and ensure contract compliance.
• Coordinate with homeless shelters, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in trainings, funder meetings, and technical assistance sessions.
• Engage in community education on immigrant rights.

Required profile

• Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state (Florida Bar preferred).
• Experience with immigration law and vulnerable populations preferred; training provided.
• Fluency in English and Spanish or English and Haitian Creole highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational abilities, and collaborative mindset.
• High personal integrity handling ethically complex and confidential matters.
