About the role
The University of Miami seeks a dynamic Lecturer to join its dance program, delivering undergraduate and graduate courses in dance history, modern dance, improvisation, composition, cultural dance, and pedagogical methodology.
Key responsibilities
- Design and teach courses across all levels, from introductory to advanced graduate seminars.
- Develop curriculum that integrates historical context, technique, and creative composition.
- Guide students in improvisational and cultural dance practices.
- Mentor students in research and performance projects.
- Collaborate with faculty on program development and assessment.
Required profile
- Master’s, MFA, or PhD in dance or a closely related field.
- Minimum five years of professional experience as a performing artist, dance educator, or dance/movement therapist.
- Prior college‑level teaching experience is preferred.
