Leave of Absence & Benefits Administrator

About the role

SKIMS is looking for a detail‑oriented, employee‑focused Leave of Absence & Benefits Administrator to manage all aspects of employee leave programs and benefits administration. The role serves as a primary resource for employees, managers, and HR partners, ensuring compliance with federal and state leave laws and delivering a seamless employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Administer a wide range of leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, CFRA, state‑specific leaves, parental, military, personal, and other protected absences.
• Act as the main point of contact for leave and benefits inquiries from employees, managers, and HR Business Partners.
• Evaluate employee eligibility for leave programs in line with regulations, company policies, and individual circumstances.
• Manage a high‑volume caseload of leave requests, processing applications, extensions, accommodations, and return‑to‑work documentation accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with employees, healthcare providers, legal counsel, and third‑party administrators to obtain required documentation and medical certifications.
• Review complex leave and accommodation cases, ensuring consistency and compliance.
• Partner with HR leadership and legal teams to develop, update, and communicate leave and benefits policies.
• Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on policies, programs, and compliance best practices.
• Maintain confidential leave and benefits records and generate reports on utilization, trends, and compliance metrics.
• Support benefits administration processes such as enrollments, life‑event changes, and open enrollment.
