HR Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an HR Coordinator to support our Human Resources department in St. Thomas. The role will handle recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and day‑to‑day HR support for our construction team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment activities such as posting job openings, scheduling interviews and coordinating with candidates.
• Support new‑hire onboarding and orientation, preparing paperwork and employee files.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, both digital and paper.
• Administer benefits, time‑keeping and HRIS data entry, and respond to employee inquiries.
• Provide translation or language support in Spanish or Creole when needed.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Minimum three years of experience in an HR or administrative role.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with HRIS systems for data entry and reporting.
