Leasing Professional - Maxwell at Bascom

About the role

A Leasing Professional is needed for a 590-unit lease-up, mid-rise community in Maxwell at Bascom. The role coordinates the community's marketing, leasing and renewal strategies to reach occupancy, revenue and resident retention goals, and is open to candidates with 1-2 years of experience. The schedule is Friday to Tuesday.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all sales and leasing activities: greet and qualify prospects, give tours, process applications, run credit and background checks, prepare leases and move-in packages, and ensure a smooth move-in.
• Inspect apartments before move-in and schedule outstanding items with maintenance.
• Stay informed on market and competitor conditions, develop marketing plans and follow concession and special programs to sustain occupancy.
• Run marketing activities such as resident referral and employer outreach, and use online tools like Craigslist, Facebook and e-mail.
• Use on-site property management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.) to track availability, traffic and resident data.
• Keep show units and the leasing office in top condition and follow up with prospects and new residents.
• Support lease renewals by preparing renewal letters and packages and following up with residents before move-out.
• Respond promptly and courteously to resident and owner concerns.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate conflicts and resolve resident concerns.
• Previous leasing and/or property management experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property; state and local licenses as required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including call-outs on evenings, weekends and holidays, and occasional travel to other properties or training.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with help, and working in all weather.

• Hourly pay of $22.12-$26.00 (San Jose); possible weekly, monthly and quarterly bonus programs for onsite positions.
