About the role

Greystar is seeking a Leasing Professional to manage marketing, leasing, and renewal activities for a community on Long Island. The role focuses on achieving occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals through proactive leasing and resident satisfaction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit screening and criminal background checks.
• Prepare lease agreements, move‑in packages, and ensure smooth resident move‑ins.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in and coordinate any needed maintenance.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans.
• Execute marketing activities, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, and manage prospect data.
• Maintain show unit standards through daily inspections.

Required profile

• Experience performing leasing and sales activities in a residential community.
• Ability to conduct tours, process applications, and manage lease documentation.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate marketing plans and maintenance follow‑ups.
• Knowledge of local rental market trends and competitor activity.
