Leasing Professional (Lease Up)

About the role

The Leasing Professional will coordinate marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals for a new lease‑up community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, ensure readiness, and coordinate any maintenance needed.
• Develop and implement short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including resident referral programs and online advertising.
• Use property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, traffic, and resident data.
• Maintain show‑unit standards, inspect marketing corridors, and prepare the leasing office daily.
• Follow up with prospects and residents via email, calls, and thank‑you notes to ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare and manage lease renewal letters, packages, and timely execution of renewals.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner concerns, documenting and escalating as needed.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and be on call as needed.

Required skills

• Experience with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Knowledge of leasing processes, credit screening, and background checks.
