Leasing Professional for Portico Kirby Community

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue and resident retention for the Portico Kirby community. You will manage the full leasing cycle, from prospect outreach to move‑in, while ensuring a high‑quality resident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sales and leasing activities: greet and qualify prospects, give tours, process applications, perform credit and background checks, prepare lease documents and oversee smooth move‑ins.
• Inspect apartments before resident arrival, confirm move‑in readiness and coordinate any outstanding work with the maintenance team.
• Monitor market and competitor trends, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply company policies on concessions and specials to maintain optimal occupancy.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist, Facebook and email.
• Utilize property management software (e.g., OneSite, Yardi) to track unit availability, record leasing activity, manage prospect data and capture demographic information.
• Maintain show‑unit standards by performing daily inspections and ensuring the community presents a polished appearance.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to engage and qualify prospective residents.
• Knowledge of local rental market dynamics and competitor activity.
• Ability to develop and implement effective marketing and outreach strategies.
• Detail‑oriented approach to apartment inspections and move‑in coordination.
• Proficiency in using property management software to manage leasing workflows.
