Leasing Professional for Portico Kirby Community

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue, and resident retention for the Portico Kirby community in Houston. You will manage the full leasing cycle, from prospect qualification to move‑in, while ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit and criminal background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, coordinate any necessary maintenance, and ensure units are ready for residents.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply concessions or specials to boost occupancy.
• Design and execute marketing activities, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.) to track availability, record leasing activity, and manage resident and prospect data.

Required profile

• Ability to greet and qualify prospects and conduct community tours.
• Capability to process applications, perform background checks, and prepare lease documentation.
• Attention to detail for apartment inspections and coordination with maintenance.

Required skills

• Experience with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Familiarity with internet marketing tools including Craigslist and Facebook.
