Leasing Professional – Ellipse Urban Community

About the role

We are looking for a Leasing Professional to join the Ellipse Urban community in Hampton, Virginia. The role focuses on driving occupancy, revenue and resident retention through comprehensive marketing, leasing and renewal activities.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, show apartments and process applications, including credit and criminal background checks.
• Prepare lease agreements and move‑in packages, ensuring a smooth resident move‑in experience.
• Inspect units before occupancy, confirm move‑in readiness and coordinate any outstanding maintenance tasks.
• Monitor local market and competitor activity, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and manage concessions and specials to boost occupancy.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist, Facebook and email.
• Utilize property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track apartment availability, record traffic, manage prospect data and capture demographic information.
• Maintain show‑unit standards through daily inspections and coordinate with the maintenance team to address any issues.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to build relationships with prospective and existing residents.
• Detail‑oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple leasing activities simultaneously.
• Knowledge of the local rental market and ability to adapt strategies to changing conditions.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach with the maintenance and management teams.
