Lead Technology Security - ISSO (Government)

About the role

AT&T is hiring a Lead Technology Security (ISSO) for its Integrity, Compliance & Risk Management Team, which supports secure, resilient and authorization-ready services for the public sector, including Department of Education programs. The role translates FISMA, NIST Risk Management Framework, agency policy and contractual obligations into scalable security practices, guiding services through the full cybersecurity compliance lifecycle from architecture and control design through assessment, Authorization to Operate (ATO), continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization. It is a full-time, onsite position in Chantilly, Virginia, five days per week, with no relocation offered.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior leadership or the Authorizing Official on changes affecting cybersecurity posture
• Collect and maintain data for cybersecurity reporting, and integrate security requirements into continuity planning
• Coordinate cybersecurity inspections, tests and reviews, and interpret patterns of noncompliance
• Oversee the information security training and awareness program and participate in the risk assessment during Security Assessment and Authorization
• Prepare, distribute and maintain security plans, instructions, guidance and standard operating procedures
• Track audit findings and remediation plans, and oversee protective or corrective measures after incidents or vulnerabilities are found
• Recommend resource allocations and recommend security requirements for IT systems across their life cycle

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• Active CISSP and/or CISM certification
• Public Trust clearance

Required skills

• FISMA and NIST compliance experience
• JCAM/CSAM tool experience
• FedRAMP cloud solution acquisition and implementation experience
• Tenable Security Center tool experience
