Classification Management Officer 3

About the role

MANTECH, a technology provider to government intelligence agencies since 1968, is seeking a Classification Management Officer 3 for its Chantilly, VA area team. The officer gives classification guidance in line with Executive Orders, National Security guidelines and ICD 710, and works onsite full time with a TS/SCI clearance and polygraph requirement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive classification management guidance according to Executive Orders, National Security guidelines and ICD 710
• Analyze issues in detail and resolve them quickly
• Recommend classification and control marking approaches to senior customer leadership
• Generate, track, coordinate and respond to action items on time
• Conduct classification reviews and assess sources for classification determinations
• Domestic travel and OCONUS travel up to 25%

Required profile

• Current active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• HS diploma and 12+ years of relevant security experience, or Associate degree and 8+ years, or Bachelor's degree and 6+ years, or Master's/Doctorate and 3+ years of relevant security experience
• Ability to handle complex security classification issues and demonstrated knowledge of the SCI arena
• Thorough understanding of Executive Order 13526 and its implementing directive, and of IC and DoD regulatory guidance
• Effective writing, communication and research skills
• Preferred: experience giving protection guidance to federal customers, and experience with ISAP, NISPOM and acquisition lifecycle security requirements

Physical requirements

• Able to stay in a stationary position 50% of the time
• Able to communicate with colleagues, management and customers, including presenting and exchanging accurate information
• Able to move around the office to access files and equipment
