Insider Threat Investigative Analyst (Mid)

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Insider Threat Investigative Analyst (Mid) to support its U.S. Department of Energy and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN) contract. The position is based in Chantilly, VA, on a 5-day, 8-hour work week.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive all-source analysis supporting a national-level government insider threat mission.
• Aggregate, analyze and evaluate data sources to assess risk.
• Extract and organize data to build metrics, reports, case studies and trend reports.
• Research to support ongoing analytic insider threat efforts.
• Prepare situational awareness and warning reports for government representatives.
• Deliver written and oral presentations.
• Edit and quality control program products, and review insider threat data to meet government mission requirements and timeliness.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in social sciences, criminal justice, national security or a related field.
• Three or more years of experience conducting all-source analysis or investigations for government or private sector insider threat programs, including counterintelligence, security, law enforcement, human resources or related fields.
• Expert knowledge of risk assessment, trend tracking, best practices, compliance barriers, metrics compilation and report quality and timeliness.
• Excellent oral and written communication, conflict resolution and ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Active Top Secret clearance required.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with insider threat databases for record keeping, data mining and analysis.
• All-source analysis and investigation.

Preferred qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant technical or specialized field.
• Certifications such as CCITP or CISSP are highly desirable.
