Lead Teacher (2 YO)

About the role

BrightPath Kids, part of the Busy Bees global childcare community, is looking for a Lead Teacher in Edison Park, IL. You will work alongside teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in care, following NAEYC guidelines. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children aged 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom.
• Create a developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
• Partner with families to plan the best care and education for their children.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• One year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.
• Ability to meet state criteria for child care employment.
• Must be able to work within regular operating hours.
