Lead, Production

About the role

Terumo Neuro is hiring a Lead, Production in Aliso Viejo, California. The role coordinates production so that materials, documents and processes comply with company practices and procedures, works under moderate supervision from the line supervisor and assists management with operations.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and monitor the performance of all assemblers in the department
• Help the supervisor with day-to-day production issues, staffing, material availability and equipment status
• Support product flow and organization on the production line
• Enforce quality, compliance and company policies; understand quality, cost, delivery and safety goals
• Partner with technicians, engineers, the supervisor and warehouse clerks to resolve issues and identify continuous improvement opportunities
• Maintain data integrity for work orders, build records, materials and training records, and keep production metrics up to date
• Give feedback on assemblers' performance reviews and step in for the supervisor at meetings and when addressing performance issues
• Perform assembler, trainer and material handler duties as needed, keep the work area clean and organize resources efficiently

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years of manufacturing experience (6 years desired)
• Ability to do small-part assembly with a microscope, vision system or similar automated equipment
• Clear communication in English and ability to follow work instructions
• Ability to work in a cleanroom or controlled environment, with extended sitting or standing, and occasional lifting up to 15 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally
• Willingness to work overtime as required

Required skills

• Proficiency in assembly procedures and ability to train others and inspect work
• Basic math and measuring skills (scales, rulers, US and metric units)
• MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
• Good Manufacturing Practices/ISO 13485 and company quality system
• SAP and enterprise management systems
• Cleanroom procedures and general knowledge of them
