Production Dedicated Trainer I

About the role

Terumo Neuro is hiring a Production Dedicated Trainer I in Aliso Viejo, California. The trainer teaches production associates the manufacturing processes, keeps training records in line with the quality system, submits training materials according to quality requirements and supports both production and the training team.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce new hires to the production line, area and systems, and work with the Production Training team to obtain the records needed to complete process training.
• Follow manufacturing instructions to assemble products, record data and keep a safe work area.
• Provide operational training to Production Assemblers on released process instructions, materials, equipment, systems and tooling.
• Keep training records and requests up to date and work independently with minimal direction.
• Support the production line when no training tasks are assigned and partner with production and training leadership to identify training needs and priorities.
• Take part in continuous improvement of training methods, documentation and execution, and share training progress and production issues with supervisors.
• Comply with laws and regulations, follow Quality Management System processes and act with ethics and integrity.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least four years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge of at least six production line operations.
• Knowledge of Clean Room regulations, GMPs and GDPs.
• Ability to assemble small, detailed parts with a microscope, vision system or similar automated equipment.
• Strong written and verbal English, basic math and blueprint reading, and basic computer skills including MS Word and Outlook.
• Physical demands include long periods of sitting or standing, cleanroom work with strict gowning, and lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Required skills

• Desired: medical device assembly experience, product quality assessment techniques, Lean Manufacturing basics, and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Desired: proactive, analytical approach and familiarity with managing a production line.
