Lead Pharmacy Technician – Central Inpatient

About the role

The Lead Pharmacy Technician will oversee the Central Inpatient pharmacy team at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of pharmacy services. This position offers hands‑on experience and opportunities for professional growth within a world‑class healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Delegate and direct the pharmacy technician team, managing shift responsibilities and assignments.
• Create and present quality‑control reports on team performance and throughput.
• Ensure caregivers are properly trained, oriented, and receive on‑site re‑training as needed.
• Serve as a technical resource and provide guidance on pharmacy operations.
• Perform all technician functions, including medication preparation and distribution.
• Participate in project‑oriented tasks and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum two years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA.
• Active registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Ability to educate and train other staff members.

Required skills
