Lead Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer

About the role

Leidos is hiring a Lead Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer with an active Secret clearance for its Beavercreek, Ohio office. The engineer works with teams of engineers and scientists to integrate an infrared threat simulation into a multispectral few-on-few engagement simulation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate an infrared threat simulation into a multispectral, C++ based simulation environment
• Lead a team of engineers and manage team tasking
• Collaborate with government and contractor personnel
• Help design and implement tools supporting the wider multispectral simulation
• Test and evaluate implementations, give feedback to developers and partners
• Prepare documentation requested by the government customer

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, EE or a related field with 5+ years of applicable experience, or an MS in a related field
• Current and active Secret security clearance (required)
• Excellent written and verbal English, with strong writing ability
• Ability to work independently and under deadlines in a mixed government-contractor environment

Required skills

• C++ and Linux
• Modeling and simulation (M&S) techniques
• Preferred: M&S, Python, GPU compute, HPC, EO/IR sensor phenomenology, infrared threat systems, DoD software applications, previous team lead experience

The pay range is $87,100 to $157,450, depending on factors such as experience and skills.
