Lead Inventory Control Associate (4:30 AM - 1 PM)

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a Lead Inventory Control Associate for its distribution center in Hyde Park, MA, working Monday to Friday from 4:30 am to 1 pm with overtime as needed and no weekends. The role is full time, non-exempt, and serves as the point of contact for inventory-related tasks and issues, supporting management by guiding and training inventory control associates.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and train inventory control associates on inventory and count procedures.
• Coordinate and prioritize inventory control work so tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Record and report inventory adjustments, pallet audits and discrepancies weekly, and review cycle counts to track discrepancies.
• Check product quality and communicate quality issues to vendors.
• Determine the right placement for inventory based on size and selling volume.
• Assist with loading damaged merchandise into delivery vehicles using powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
• Serve as backup for inventory and general warehouse functions, troubleshoot complex problems for junior associates, and assist with supervisory duties (no hiring or firing authority).

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and able to pass a drug test.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods; no travel required.
• Willingness to train to operate order pickers, cherry pickers, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks or similar equipment.
• An edge: 3+ years of inventory control experience, prior distribution center experience, and previous experience operating material handling equipment.
