Lead DevOps Engineer - ICAM Solutions

About the role

Leidos is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer on a 200+ FTE technical development program delivering modern Identity Access Credential Management (ICAM) solutions. You will build systems and software using cloud capabilities, taking part in or directing major deliverables across the software development lifecycle, from scope and estimation through architecture, design, coding and unit testing. The role supports an on-call rotation so mission-critical services stay operational 24/7/365, typically one full calendar week on call every two months.

Key responsibilities

• Create and publish standard operating procedures for developers, database administrators and customer support.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines end-to-end, including stage changes and dependency management.
• Patch dependencies in the software bill of materials (SBOM) in response to PO&AMs and CVEs reported by the ISSE.
• Provide technical guidance, training and leadership for operations and engineering staff.
• Harden operating systems with STIG or other ISSM guidance.
• Automate manual deployment procedures on legacy systems.
• Provide Tier III and IV technical support in a complex mission environment.

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience, or additional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Expertise in Linux and in DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub and Terraform.
• Experience in an Agile environment and with software testing performance tools such as JUnit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Scripting and use of AWS services (CloudFormation, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC).
• Nexus administration and CI/CD pipeline setup.
• Git version control, JIRA, Confluence and Agile methods.
• Desired: Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration and deployment, and sponsor cloud environments.

The pay range is $131,300 to $237,350, depending on factors such as experience, education and skills.
