Lead Associate, Production (2nd Shift)

About the role

Terumo Neuro is hiring a Lead Associate, Production (2nd Shift) in Aliso Viejo, California. The role performs assembly or sub-assembly of medical devices and products at a senior level under limited supervision from line leads and supervisors, following manufacturing documents, and assists the lead and supervisor in coordinating production activities.

Key responsibilities

• Follow manufacturing instructions to assemble products and record build data on build records.
• Recognize problems early and work with technicians, engineers or supervisors to find solutions; identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Work with engineers and supervisors on special assembly requests and help the production lead with staffing, materials and equipment issues.
• Train other assemblers on certified procedures and act as a production lead when needed.
• Provide performance feedback to the lead and supervisor and meet performance standards and metrics.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and comply with quality, compliance, laws and regulations, including the Quality Management System.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum four years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to do small part assembly with a microscope, vision system or related automated equipment.
• Clear communication in English with peers, engineers, leads, supervisors and managers.
• Ability to work overtime as required and in a cleanroom or controlled environment with strict gowning and hygiene requirements.
• Physical demands include long periods sitting or standing, lifting up to 15 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally, and occasional use of machinery and chemicals.

Required skills

• Proficiency in assembly procedures and ability to train others and inspect work.
• Basic math and measuring skills (scales, rulers, US and metric).
• Basic computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Desired: experience in medical device assembly and five years of manufacturing experience.
