Law Enforcement Officer/Corporal/Sr. Corporal (Jacksonville)

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking qualified Law Enforcement Officers, Corporals, and Senior Corporals to provide security and emergency services at its Jacksonville facility. This onsite role supports the Bank’s mission of maintaining stability and safety for staff, assets, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol the building and grounds, monitor surveillance systems, and respond to alarms or incidents.
• Enforce Federal Reserve policies, regulations, and applicable federal laws.
• Control pedestrian and vehicle access using screening equipment.
• Provide emergency services, including first aid, CPR, and firefighting.
• Prepare shift, incident, and other required reports.
• Assist with civil disorder situations and public relations as needed.

Required profile

• Maintain the designation required to operate as a Federal Reserve law enforcement officer under Section 11(q) of the Federal Reserve Act.
• Meet all department standards and training requirements.
• Demonstrate sound judgment in life‑safety situations and handling of weapons or explosive devices.
• Ability to work extended hours and during emergencies or crises.

Required skills

• Weapon handling (lethal and non‑lethal).
• Operation of physical security equipment and surveillance systems.
• First aid, CPR, and firefighting techniques.
• Screening equipment operation for pedestrian and vehicle access.
