About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking a Sergeant to lead shift operations and ensure the safety and security of its facilities. This position is based in Miami, FL and requires daily presence on‑site to support the Bank’s mission of promoting economic stability.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the law‑enforcement designation required under the Federal Reserve Act and related regulations.
• Direct daily shift operations, supervise and evaluate staff, and resolve operational challenges.
• Schedule, assign, and monitor daily work to ensure compliance with established procedures.
• Communicate operational goals, align staff with strategic direction, and coordinate with senior management.
• Prepare performance evaluations, recommend salary actions, and administer disciplinary measures as needed.
• Maintain overall building security and safety, including patrols and enforcement of security protocols.

Required profile

• Valid law‑enforcement designation authorized by the Board of Governors.
• Meets all department standards and training requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership, critical‑thinking, and coaching abilities.
• Strong understanding of basic management practices such as scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution.

Required skills

• Knowledge of federal law‑enforcement operational practices.
