Latam Rates & FX Structured Products Analyst

About the role

Santander is seeking an Analyst to support the Latin America (Latam) Rates and FX trading desk within its U.S. Corporate Investment Banking division. The role focuses on quantitative analysis, model development, and day‑to‑day desk support for internal trading, sales, risk, and finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide desk support for Latam IR and FX products, including daily P&L reconciliation, driver analysis, and break investigation.
• Build, enhance, and maintain pricing, risk, and performance models.
• Perform statistical analysis on market and trading data.
• Develop and automate tools, data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting workflows to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Produce recurring and ad‑hoc analytics for internal stakeholders (Trading, Sales, Risk, Finance, Control).
• Communicate quantitative results clearly, translating them into actionable insights.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives, including controls, governance, and best practices around data and models.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, Finance).
• Strong quantitative foundation and analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced market environment with high attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication abilities.
• Fluent Spanish speaker.
