Knowledge Manager for Military Construction Projects

About the role

The Knowledge Manager leads document management, information governance, and workflow administration for Military Construction (MILCON) projects. This role ensures project information is accurate, accessible, and compliant throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) such as Kahua and other collaboration platforms.
• Develop and manage document control procedures, filing structures, naming conventions, and records retention.
• Coordinate receipt, review, distribution, tracking, storage, and archival of all project documentation.
• Monitor workflow processes for submittals, RFIs, change requests, and approvals, ensuring timely completion.
• Produce project dashboards, reports, and performance metrics within PMIS platforms.
• Provide system administration support, including user accounts, permissions, and access control.
• Facilitate knowledge capture, lessons‑learned processes, and audit‑ready documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in document control, records management, or PMIS administration.
• At least 3 years supporting Federal MILCON projects (DoD, USACE, NAVFAC, etc.).
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Required skills

• Kahua (or similar PMIS) administration.
• Experience with Procore, e‑Builder, SharePoint, or comparable platforms.
• Strong knowledge of document control, records management, and information governance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
