Kids Soccer Coach with ECE Credits

About the role

Amazing Athletes is looking for energetic Youth Soccer Coaches in the greater San Diego/Oceanside area who hold ECE credits. The coach leads interactive pre-soccer classes for toddlers to preteens, introducing balance, coordination and cognitive skills through music and movement. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children and has prior experience as a sports coach, teacher, camp leader or in a similar role.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement lesson plans based on the company's existing curriculum
• Teach soccer skills, physical literacy and life skills to small groups of children
• Maintain a positive, fun and safe learning environment
• Communicate with parents, giving progress reports and answering questions
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork and respect for self and others
• Take part in ongoing training and development
• Help set up and clean up equipment and supplies for classes and events

Required profile

• Must have ECE credits
• Prior experience working with children, toddlers or infants
• Passion for working with children and helping them reach their potential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with children, parents and colleagues
• High energy, enthusiasm and patience
• Flexible availability, including weekends
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to undergo company, state and federal background checks
