Junior US Tax Accountant

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review US federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships and corporations.
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and US tax laws.
• Assist in tax planning and advisory services for clients.
• Research tax issues and provide recommendations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet filing deadlines and client requirements.
• Use accounting software and tax preparation tools such as QuickBooks, Drake, ProSeries or similar.
• Communicate with clients to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in US tax accounting or public accounting firms.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong written and verbal English, attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Required skills

• Experience preparing Form 1040, 1065 and 1120/1120S.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) and tax tools.
