Controller of Lubricants

About the role

Brenntag is looking for a Controller for its Lubricants business unit. The Controller acts as a co-pilot for the business unit manager(s): ensuring transparency on business performance, creating plans to meet strategy (including M&A support), spotting plan deviations and risks, proposing countermeasures and tracking the implementation of initiatives. The role also works closely with divisional controlling teams.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with business representatives to share insights on key performance metrics and point out improvement opportunities.
• Structure and drive group-wide improvement initiatives.
• Support the divisions' transformation toward greater autonomy, especially by developing performance management frameworks and tools and setting up structures for competitive internal services.
• Lead or support projects linked to the new organizational set-up.
• Coordinate the divisional strategy and performance cycle, including performance reviews, annual planning and regular strategy reviews with corporate strategy.
• Lead special task forces as needed to tackle key challenges and opportunities.

Required profile

• BA/BS in Accounting and/or Finance is required.
• CPA or a Master's in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting or FP&A preferred.
