Charge Back Associate

About the role

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Charge Back Associate to handle internal and external inquiries and chargebacks, covering all aspects of its DMP chargeback functions. The role involves providing guidance, performing audits, testing and training daily, working closely with the offshore team and keeping open communication on any issues.

Key responsibilities

• Audit chargebacks to improve success rates
• Work in the DMP portal, AMP and Oracle and process AR accounting functions
• Track productivity to ensure quality of work
• Assist with the team's workflow and questions
• Respond to escalated or sensitive inquiries and chargebacks
• Act as subject matter expert supporting other Avis Budget Group regions
• Help develop new policies and procedures and keep SOPs up to date
• Compile data for management and departmental reporting
• Perform standard duties to support the offshore team

Required profile

• Degree in business administration, finance or a related field
• 3-4 years of experience is an advantage
• History of accuracy, attention to detail, efficiency and sound judgment
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills, with discretion and professionalism
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment with fluctuating work volumes

Required skills

• Proficiency in the MS Office suite and navigating various PC systems
• Knowledge of banking rules and regulations is helpful; accounting experience is helpful
