Junior SecDevOps Engineer

About the role

Knox runs the largest Federal and DoD managed cloud, delivering secure cloud and AI environments for critical U.S. government missions. As a Junior SecDevOps Engineer you will support the maintenance, monitoring, and security auditing of multi‑cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across AWS, Azure, and GCP, working on‑site within FedRAMP‑authorized boundaries.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor Zero Trust Network Access tools (Zscaler ZPA/PRA) and verify connector health.
• Assist with HashiCorp Vault secret management, credential generation, and rotation.
• Review IAM permissions and cloud role policies for least‑privilege compliance.
• Run, test, and troubleshoot pre‑written Terraform modules and CloudFormation playbooks in development and staging environments.
• Sort and triage vulnerability alerts from Wiz and Qualys, and perform basic CrowdStrike endpoint checks.
• Maintain Grafana dashboards, CloudWatch metrics, and ServiceNow tickets, and participate in shadow on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• Strong technical fundamentals in Linux, basic networking, Git, and scripting.
• Passionate curiosity for cloud security and automation with a security‑first mindset.
• Willingness to learn under senior engineering mentorship and grow expertise in Zero Trust and automated compliance.
