Junior Insurance Defense Attorney – $165k Base, Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Insurance Defense Associate to join a leading New York‑based insurance defense firm. The role is fully remote and focuses on general liability, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and high‑stakes defense for insurers, municipalities, and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other pleadings.
• Manage discovery processes, including document review and deposition preparation.
• Assist senior attorneys in trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.
• Communicate effectively with clients to update case status and address concerns.

Required profile

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active New York State Bar admission.
• 1–3 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or related tort matters.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with a client‑focused mindset.
