Junior Electrical Engineer

About the role

CACI is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to support its customer at NSWC Crane. The position is full time, requires a Secret clearance to start, and involves up to 50% travel across the continental United States.

Key responsibilities

• Define the electrical system implementation approach and operational concepts, and develop models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.
• Provide technical inputs on system architecture implementation to other staff and support electrical system analyses across concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
• Attend project meetings as assigned and coordinate projects and document control, including generating and reviewing technical documentation.
• Monitor the project team and vendors to ensure technical rigor, timely delivery of materials and parts, and that the end product meets customer needs.

Required profile

• US citizenship, required to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to work with senior leadership and installation teams.
• Ability to manage project schedules and integrations within site processes and to work on multiple projects concurrently.

Required skills

• Tracking project deliverables, milestones and schedules for systems or software delivery programs.
• Requirements generation, traceability, review and tracking.
• Program management, readiness reviews and governance boards.
• Technical exchange meetings, program documentation creation, drafting and review, and technical writing.
• Problem-solving and teamwork.

Desired: an active DoD Secret clearance and experience in the DoD community.
