Junior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Kudu Dynamics, a Leidos-owned company, is hiring a Junior DevOps Engineer in Chantilly. The team builds and maintains computer network operations and infrastructure for US government missions, working across desktop, mobile, IoT and embedded platforms. The position is open for at least 3 days, with an anticipated close date no earlier than 3 days after the original posting.

Key responsibilities

• Support deployment and maintenance of development and production environments
• Assist with CI/CD pipeline implementation and troubleshooting
• Monitor system health, logging and alerting platforms
• Support container orchestration and infrastructure automation efforts
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment-related issues
• Assist with user onboarding and environment access requests
• Document operational procedures and deployment processes
• Work with software developers to improve deployment reliability

Required profile

• US citizenship with TS/SCI and Counter-Intelligence Polygraph clearance
• 1-3 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering or Infrastructure Support
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
• Ability to work within an Agile Scrum team, as a self-starter needing moderate supervision

Required skills

• Familiarity with Linux system administration
• Docker or containerized applications
• CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD
• Infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible
• Monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
• Networking fundamentals and system troubleshooting

The stated pay range is $69,550 to $125,725.
