Jr. Category Manager, Dispensed Beverages

About the role

Circle K is hiring a Junior Category Manager for its dispensed beverages category in Charlotte, NC. The role supports the Category and Merchandise Managers in managing local vendors and the day-to-day operations of the category, including vendor contacts, pricing, costs, logistics and in-stock levels.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large amounts of data to support efficient category management and drive business decisions.
• Assist Category and Merchandise Managers with day-to-day local vendor contact on item setup, pricing, costs, product logistics and in-stock levels.
• Plan, track and run vendor/operations sales incentives and contests.
• Support recommendations on local planogram assortment, planning and process.
• Collaborate on promotional and pricing management and carry out local activities.
• Support in-store merchandising opportunities, with occasional overnight travel.
• Meet financial and key result area targets and complete other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, management, business economics or a related field preferred; other combinations of experience and education may substitute.
• One to three years of work experience preferred; retail experience preferred but not necessary.
• Detail-oriented, able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• May require up to 60% travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• Data analysis and presentation skills.
