Journeyman Electrician

About the role

Apex Circuitry, a division of Farbman Group, is looking for a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join its growing team. The role covers installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial properties. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, customer-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical issues and carry out troubleshooting and corrective repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and electrical drawings.
• Install conduit, panels, breakers, lighting systems and control wiring.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety standards and company procedures.
• Communicate with customers, property managers and team members.
• Complete service reports, work orders and project documentation accurately.
• Assist with emergency service calls as needed.

Required profile

• Current Michigan Journeyman Electrician license.
• Minimum 3+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders, lifts and rooftops when required.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and excellent customer service and communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, troubleshooting and installation practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Preferred: experience with commercial service work, tenant improvements and maintenance projects; experience in occupied commercial office, retail or industrial properties; OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification; experience with generators, controls, lighting upgrades and energy-efficient systems.
