Experienced Painter/Drywaller

About the role

Farbman Group is looking for skilled painters and drywallers (individuals, not large firms) to join its team for ongoing commercial projects in the Detroit area. The work involves interior painting and drywall finishing on occupied and unoccupied commercial spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Drywall hanging, finishing (Level 4-5) and patch/repair work
• Interior painting: prep, priming and finish coats, including touch-ups and color changes
• Protecting surfaces, masking and daily cleanup to keep sites tenant-friendly
• Coordinating with other trades and reporting progress and issues to the project lead

Required profile

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in painting and drywall (hanging, taping, mudding, sanding and repair)
• Owns basic tools, has reliable transportation and shows up on time, every time
• Understands jobsite safety, can read scopes and drawings, and communicates clearly with supervisors and tenants
• Can work independently or with a small crew and meet deadlines without constant oversight
