Joint Replacement Sales Representative

About the role

Stryker is hiring a field-based Sales Representative for its Orthopedic Joint Replacement service line in Sacramento, California. You will promote and sell Stryker's joint replacement products to meet customers' needs, drive revenue growth, build customer relationships and support surgical teams in the operating room. The role is 100% commission and is eligible for bonuses and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing customer accounts through excellent service and trusted partnerships.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets by identifying, qualifying and closing new business opportunities.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and customers, respond promptly to inquiries and resolve challenges.
• Demonstrate products confidently in the operating room and office settings.
• Train surgeons, nurses and OR staff on Stryker products.
• Maintain sample inventory and comply with AdvaMed principles.
• Represent Stryker at industry events and conferences as required.
• Be on call evenings, weekends and holidays for urgent technical needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or at least 4 years of experience in a clinical healthcare or sales role (or a combination).
• Proven track record of achieving sales goals.
• Preferred: medical device sales experience, clinical work experience and expertise in orthopedic joint replacement products.
• Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience.
• Valid driver's license, fluency in written and spoken English, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
• Willingness to handle instruments that may have been contaminated by blood or bodily fluids.

Required skills

• Knowledge of sales techniques, marketing strategies, product demonstrations and sales control systems.
• Preferred: experience with sales control systems.
