Foot & Ankle Sales Associate - Sacramento

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Foot & Ankle Sales Associate in Sacramento, California. This is a field-based position working alongside the Sales Representatives in the area to learn the medical device industry and the Foot & Ankle business, then help grow it in the assigned territory. The role involves attending surgeries where Stryker products are used, educating surgeons and staff, and performing field calls.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Sales Representatives on all aspects of the sales call pattern: covering cases, promoting products in assigned accounts, building sets, managing inventory and converting customers.
• Attend surgeries to ensure products are available and to instruct surgeons on product use and functionality.
• Educate doctors, nurses and other staff on proper use, maintenance, product updates and portfolio changes.
• Work with sales teams to identify sales opportunities, deliver customer service and develop customer relationships.
• Identify the needs of new prospects and tailor Stryker's promotional message after product training.
• Perform field calls, assist in implementing new sales plans and marketing strategies, and help meet and exceed business targets.
• Serve as the primary backup contact for Sales Representatives and help resolve account problems.
• Partner on inventory management and on acquiring and processing customer purchase orders for proper invoicing.
• Stay current on industry, customer and competitive trends, and attend sales and professional association meetings outside regular business hours.
• Follow regulatory compliance and AdvaMed principles, including confidentiality and ethics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree or medical certification (e.g., CST, PT, CPT) plus at least 2 years of professional or related experience.
• High school diploma plus at least 4 years of professional or related experience.
• 4+ years of active duty military service.

What we offer

• Base salary of $75,000, with possible eligibility for commission, bonuses and benefits.
• 12 paid holidays annually.
• Travel percentage of 30%.
